The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is a five part trilogy, which began life as a thirteen part BBC radio series (everyone really must listen to them all.) The first three parts of the HGG trilogy were released as a standard trilogy, but Adams saw, and filled, the real need for part four and five (of the trilogy).
It's from Douglas Adams' series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's a good series a must read.
