  1. The taxes I pay for operating a car pay for more road than any cyclist, so I think I do in fact own the road.

  2. Cyclists pay taxes too.

Your thesis is senseless. Nor I do I think that you own the bombs that your country drops on other nations.

  3. Owning and operating a bicycle doesn't pay for the road it's on.

  7. I will be man enough and put my name on this comment.
I am sure that women pays has much as you do in tax's maybe more. What is the difference between this cyclist and a motorcyclists they both have similar slogans for their safety.

  8. At least a motorcyle can go over 10 mph so I don't have to go into oncoming traffic to pass it. I know cars go fast and aren't normally looking out for cyclists, that's why I don't let my kids ride bikes on my road where cars go too fast. I won't send them out on their bikes with signs on their backs and hope they'll be safe. This woman should ride around in her driveway til she's big enough to watch out for herself. Even then she should go find a designated trail to ride on. Trails are awesome.

To "the man": I'm going to guess your occupation isn't English professor.

  13. When bike riders follow the rules of the road, I'll stop running them down.

  14. Well Derek, it needs to work both ways bike riders and people that drive vehicles. Every day millions of drivers in the United States break traffic laws doing 10-15 miles or more over the posted speed limit, not coming to a complete stop before they turn right on red, not stopping for "STOP" signs I can go on. The problem is people in general they think only about themselves and to hell with everyone else.

  15. Gosh "the man"

Speak for yourself! Sorry to hear that you think about yourself before others. I, myself have always respected byclists....but when someone shoves sarcasm in my face, well....that's when I'll speed up!

Say "the man" ...wanna go for a bike ride?
    xoxo,

  16. To the driver who hits sarcastic bicyclist
Where did I say I think of myself before others.
Sounds like the problem is people like you should refrain from making judgments especially ones based on personal opinions, because you do not like what they said. In America she has a constitutional right under freedom of speech. Which she express in words written on her back.
Going back to what I original said: (People in general they think only about themselves and to hell with everyone else).

  20. Might I comment that drivers pay fuel tax whenever they buy gas. That tax is designed to, surprise, pay for transportation such as roads.

So no, they do not pay the same taxes.

  21. Thank you anonymous above me. Finally someone who gets it.

  22. You may pay a fuel tax when you fill your tank but generally that money goes for road repairs and not for new roads.
There are many other kinds of tax’s a person pays including property tax’s and sales tax that also goes for roads SURPRISE. Check out what tax’s you pay and where that money goes, you maybe SURPRISE again.

  23. ...yeah...I really don't get how the issue is taxes...
