These pictures were taken by astronaut Frank Calderio from a NASA WB-57 aircraft flying at about 60,000 ft.
They were released by NASA on September 15th, 2006 and are of Atlantis (STS-115). Something you don’t get to see every day, at least from this angle.; 3:14 PM, November 04, 2006
