Fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree I guess.
It’s all about the TAKS test. If graduating seniors don’t pass it, some schools don’t allow them to walk for graduation.

It's the dumbing down of America. It's real, it's happening, and as someone with a degree in English, it's killing me to see stuff like that.
Sad. Sadder because we can do so much better.
I am constantly amazed at the amount of people who don't know the difference between "our" and "are". I see it all the time on the internet. I've seen it on very official bulletins, supposedly written by people who should know better. There is definately something wrong somewhere......
I frequently see these kinds of goofs in memos sent home from the staff at my kids' school. Now that's sad.
Why are the parents whining about their kids not walking across the stage on graduation day when the little darlings cannot pass a simple test? If the kids studied and paid attention, they could pass the TAKS test. If they cannot play because they did not pass, then they should not walk across the stage.
