Colonel Sanders - like you've never seen him before

Colonel

BTW: Why is Colonel pronounced as “kernel”?

I have always wondered the same thing!!

Wikipedia has an explanation: there were 2 forms (colonel and coronel) originally, we adopted the spelling of the former and pronunciation of the latter. Weird.

I like ketchup and all, but I've never in my entire life needed ketchup with my KFC. yuck. The semi-liquid gravy is the only condiment you need. Scoop it on everything, except maybe the coleslaw. You could even put a straw in it and drink it like a shake. Or eat it with a spork just like pudding. Ahhhh I can almost hear the scraping sound of the tip of a spork against the bottom of a styrofoam mashed potato cup as I think about it.
