Trick or not...this is nuts

Magician, musician, mentalist, hypnotist, escapologist, stunt performer and actor Criss Angel gets run over by a steam roller.

My best guess at the answer to how this is done:

Dig out the asphalt where all the glass is. Where you lay down, the trench is much deeper (maybe a little under a foot) and put some foam at the bottom and top it with dirt and the glass.

You'll notice that the width of the slice in the asphalt was narrower than the drum effectively keeping the drum at the same height as the top of the asphalt.

As you ride over the magician, the foam absorbs the pressure (not to much to physically take) and you sink into the ground like you've been flattened.

As the roller backs off, the foam expands to fill the original void and the surface where you laid looks like it's still the same as before.

What do you think?

Yeah exactly. This trick really isn't that impressive. You dig out a hole in the pavement, lay down some foam, then throw some camouflage over it. Next you have something wider than the hole drive over it. Nothing amazing at all.

...I agree with both of you except this part, "the trick isn't that impressive" not because of how it's done, but by the mere fact that someone would actually carve out a trench and be rolled over (even if it wasn't going to hurt) BY A ROLLER! You'd have to be nuts no? I guess I'm a sucker, I'm always amazed at how stupid people can be.

Dig a hole? Don't you think anyone there would wait around to see if there was a hole in the street?? I'd be camped out on the corner with a cooler and a lawnchair waiting to investigate the spot.

And then went home and put it on YouTube like they did.
