Good for Jerry. That was a ridiculous question to ask.
Jerry's a self-centered ass! For those of us who couldn't care less about his show, it's an honest question as to whether or not his show got canceled. His show was lame, just like his bee movie.Does Jerry expect to rest on his laurels the rest of his life? "I'm Jerry Muthafuckin Seinfeld! My show was #1 sometime last century!" Please.I put you in the same category as Britney Spears. Yeah, you were the shits at one time, but now you're just a piece of shit. Shut up and go away!
^ Jerry Seinfeld > you
I agree with everything anonymous said about Jerry being a self-centered ass. I can't stand him! He could've been a lot more polite when answering.
They are both over-rated. Larry isn't exactly brilliant. Jerry lucked into a group of talent on his show that worked well together, with his character being least significant and least memorable of any of them. His stand-up isn't very remarkable. They both deserved looking like fools here.
Jerry always claims that it is "HIS" show because it bears his name, but as it was mentioned before, not much ever happened to him. I'm sure many of you have said... "have you watched the episode where Kramer... " or "the one where George..." ... I have NEVER heard one episode where people said anything about Jerry getting into some kind of funny situation. Yes, it was the show with "his" name on it, but hardly about him.
I agree with everyone about Jerry being over-rated, egotistical, self-centered etc., personally I don't find him funny at all - but "piece of shit" is a little harsh. Yes, he should have reacted better and shown how much better of a person he was than Larry. But Larry obviously had no idea who this person was, which is unforgivable. When you have a guest on your show, you should at least read their resume and be knowledgeable and prepared. It was an honest question, but not one that was to be left to be directed to the guest on air!
Jerry's not a piece of shit (there's PLENTY other people you can label with that term), BUT Larry David is the genius behind Seinfeld. He should get the credit for the success of that show.
I think Larry was trying to make a point about had bad that last year of Seinfeld was. If he hadn't ended the show it would surely have been canceled.
Rumor has it: Seinfeld quit because he actually watched one of his shows, and noticed he sucked more then GW Bush. Being a Joke isn't necessarily being a comedian.
