iBod - Girl behind the iPod ads

Ibod girl Ever wonder who the s lhouetted girl in the Apple iPod ads is?   The New York Post interviewed her this week:

This is the first time that Mandy Coulton, a 26-year-old dancer from Los Angeles, has been revealed as the body behind the hugely successful ad campaign for Apple's iPod music players. More than 20 million iPods have been sold since it was introduced in 2001.

She was paid a flat fee of $1,500 for the shoot - a tiny fraction of the billions Apple has reaped from the sale of its sleek portable player. But Coulton - posing here with one of her ads - says it still wasn't enough to buy one of the must-have gadgets.

Pink ipod ad"At the time, $1,500 seemed a lot of money - but now my picture is absolutely everywhere. But I'm not bitter or anything," the stunning brunette said.

"I would like one - but $400 for an iPod is too much for me at the moment. I can't justify spending that much money when I have day-to-day stuff to pay for, like the car and rent."

I'm sorry but I have no sympathy for her not getting paid more. All she did was model. The ad wasn't her idea, the iPod wasn't her idea, The success of the iPod isn't due to her, and she isn't the only person who could have been in the ad. $1,500 isn't bad for the little bit of work she did.

Um, first of all, you don't HAVE to get the $400 one. Nano's are anly, what, $100? And like someone else said, all you did was model. Be happy with what you have and you will go far.
