Hondas crash too, ya know. Even the trikes. No this wouldnt have happend if the rider in question would have had just a bit of actual skill.
I did not witness this, but I can tell you exactly what happend. "Mad Dog" or whatever his name is, came into gravity cavity too fast. It has a wicked decreasing radius exit, goint that direction. He had her over on the floorboards, which is common and quite safe on a FLH harley, and he realized that he had too much steam for the exit.
Of course, he paniced and grabbed ahold of all the front brake he could get, locked the wheel, lost the front-end and low-sided it.
You will notice that you can clearly see the tread pattern on the front tire (locked) and not on the rear (rolling).

but that's what people do is put chrome on there harleys, and dream about being a legend in there own mind... lol...
a old harley rider once told me, if you want a truly unique harley, keep it stock...people will be amazed.
I know that picture well. He overcooked "gravity cavity" at the tail of the dragon AKA route 129 in tennessee (a must do for motorcyclists).
I have see the whole sequence somewhere. It aint pretty.

would have never happened if he was riding a honda

A honda would have done the same thing.
