I can understand why these housekeepers clean glasses that way. I used to be room cleaner in hotels when I was still at uni at the time limit 6 minutes per room, you simply don't have much time to be clean.I remember on the first day when i started seeing the supervisor showing me how to clean glass by rinsing the glass then picking up the dirty towel on the bathroom floor and wipe it. If anyone is needed to blame, blame the hotel owners who are greedy to care for the guests' health.

So, you may as well stay at a cheap hotel. A friend of mine is a former hotel maid, and she says you should always assume that your room is unsanitary; cheap places are just less deceitful about it.

I always wondered about those glasses. One time I stayed in a Double Tree and my bed smelled like a nasty sex romp. I had to throw all the blankets and sheets off of my bed and sleep with my jacket. It was one of the most disgusting experiences I have ever had in a hotel. And it was "a nice" hotel.

If you want to have fun, take a black light with you the next time you stay in a hotel. Then shine it on the bed spread. See the pretty blue glow all over everywhere.
