Five out of nine instances of automotive maintenance performed by Jiffy Lube were fraudulent according to this report by Joel Grover of KNBC in Los Angeles. I don’t know how old this tape is, but it does make you wonder. I’m sure this isn’t limited to just Jiffy Lube. I’m also sure there are a lot of reputable auto service shops around too. It’s just hard to know which ones are legit.
Here are two parts to the KNBC 4 series.

Why did channel 4 mark the fuel filter when they only going there for an oil change? It wasn't until after they went to Jiffy Lube for the oil change that they were talked into other services. Channel 4 should have twisted this better.
DUH - Ch4 probably thought the mechanic would try to talk them into additional service so they probably marked several items to catch them not doing anything. It's called thinking ahead dummy!
Right, but my point is that channel 4 didn't say what all they marked and what all was involved in making the deal. They only showed the worst portion. I'm sure the true story goes beyond what was broadcast, twit.

Is it important to know that they also marked (for instance) the battery, but Jiffy Lube didn't try to sell them a battery?
They didn't show the four jiffy lubes that didn't cheat them, not very news worthy.
By the way, twit, I like your sign-off, appears very accurate.
10 to 1 they're still doing it.
